The general director of "Ukrposhta" refused to disclose data on the high salaries of employees

The general director of "Ukrposhta" Ihor Smilyanskyi refused to answer the deputy's question about the number of employees of the company who receive a salary of more than 100 thousand hryvnias per month. The request was sent by People's Deputy Nina Yuzhanina, who represents the parliamentary opposition.

The official wrote about this in Telegram.

"On my deputy's appeal regarding the number of people receiving wages at JSC "Ukrposhta" over 100,000. UAH per month in 2024, the general director replied that he could not provide such information, because he did not understand how it was related to parliamentary activities," Yuzhanina wrote.

In addition, as the People's Deputy noted, "Ukrposhta" pays the general director more than UAH 1.5 million in salary every month.

"Ukrposhta" notes that the members of the Supervisory Board, with the exception of representatives of the state who are civil servants, receive remuneration in the amount of 165,090 each month, in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 04.07.2017 No. 668. At the same time, the chairman of the Supervisory Board receives a 20% bonus for performing the functions of the chairman.

In addition, "Ukrposhta" pays expenses related to the performance of the duties of members of the Supervisory Board. For example, for December 2021, such expenses amounted to 101,086 per month in total for all members of the Supervisory Board.

The members of the Supervisory Board include: Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Timur Tkachenko, Rinat Abdrasilov, Gary John Carroll, Olena Malynska, Ihor Mityukov, Serhiy Derkach.

At the same time, it is noted on the Ukrposhta website that the salary of a postman ranges from UAH 7,200 to UAH 11,450.

Also, on April 26, 2024, Ukrposhta reported an increase in net income by UAH 1.3 billion in 2023. Last year, the company received UAH 11.6 billion in revenue, which is more than 12% more than the results of 2022 (UAH 10.3 billion). This is reported in the company's financial statements, confirmed by an independent international auditor.

Earlier, People's Deputy Nina Yuzhanina stated that charitable contributions that customers could make when paying for the delivery of shipments by "Ukrposhta" began to be automatically calculated from each parcel. The company collects UAH 1 as a charitable contribution for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the "Kyiv School of Economics" charitable fund.

Yuzhanina emphasized that the founder of the charity fund is Tymofiya Mylovanov of the Kyiv School of Economics, who is also the chairman of its board. The parliamentarian also threatened Smilyanskyi with law enforcement officers and said that they should evaluate his actions for legality.

Subsequently, the general director of the company, Ihor Smilyanskyi, stated that all funds passing through Ukrposhta and the KSE Foundation are carefully checked by international auditors and law enforcement officers. He noted that the company, together with the KSE Foundation, transferred more than 67 million rubles of aid to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
