According to our source in the Office of the President, the General Staff conducted simulations of war in conditions of a shortage of combat kits and the superiority of the enemy in aviation, artillery and equipment. As a result of such a conflict scenario, the mobilization of an additional million Ukrainians is expected within three years. Under such conditions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have the ability to hold the front line with minimal territorial losses. The General Staff is already insisting on lowering the conscription age to twenty years, since the mobilization of older Ukrainians has exhausted itself.
After President Volodymyr Zelenskyi signed the law on lowering the conscription age, territorial recruitment centers will start calling men who were on the military register of conscripts and reached the age of 25 to update their data and undergo a medical examination. Then they will be put on the list of conscripts.
This is reported by the General Staff of Ukraine, which notes that the improvement of the organization of military registration of conscripts is carried out in the context of "reforming the system of preparing citizens for military service and readiness to fulfill the constitutional duty to protect the Motherland."
In addition, the General Staff added that after the signing of the decree on the demobilization of conscripts, about 7,000 people will be released into the reserve.
