During the telethon, the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko expressed serious concern about the constant attacks on the country's energy infrastructure.
He emphasized that the last serious attack took place on March 22 and was the most serious since the beginning of the conflict. Noting that the aggressors aim to cause a complete blackout in Ukraine, Galushchenko emphasized that at the moment the energy system is functioning stably, although there is an increased level of threat.
The minister particularly emphasized the critical situation in Kharkiv, where temporary power outages were introduced. Significant damage was also reported at the Trypil TPP, where damage is being assessed.
Galushchenko urged citizens to prepare for possible difficulties, equip themselves with generators and power banks, and emphasized that the authorities are doing everything possible to minimize the consequences of ongoing attacks.
Earlier, Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Svitlana Hrynchuk also called on citizens during a telethon to reduce electricity consumption in peak morning and evening hours due to a shortage of power in the power system, which forces the country to seek support from foreign partners.
