Detective Serhiy Shynderuk, a detective with the Detective Unit of the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security in Lviv Oblast, received significant cash gifts from relatives in 2024, which he later used to purchase real estate in Lviv and a car. This was reported by the anti-fraud project "190" with reference to an analysis of his declaration.
Serhiy Shynderuk has been working at BEB since 2023. Before that, he held the position of investigator at the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Rivne region for a long time.
According to the declaration, in October 2024, the detective purchased an apartment in Lviv with an area of 62 sq. m. The cost of the housing was almost 3.9 million UAH. The purchase was registered as a mortgage under the state program "eOselya" in the amount of 2 million UAH. The official paid the rest of the funds — about 1.9 million UAH — with his own funds, the origin of which he explained as monetary gifts from relatives.
Two days before the sale and purchase agreement was concluded, Shynderuk received a total of UAH 2.1 million from citizens Shynderuk Larisa Ivanovna (UAH 1.1 million) and Shynderuk Oleksandra Antonivna (UAH 1 million). According to the "190" project, these funds became the source of his own contribution to the purchase of the apartment.
Before he had his own home, starting in 2023, the detective rented an apartment in Lviv. However, the expenses for renting housing were not indicated in the declaration.
The official's wife, Margarita Shinderuk, has been living with her two children in a residential building with an area of 216.7 sq. m in the village of Gremyache, Rivne region, since 2016. The property belongs to the detective's relative, Shinderuk Larisa Ivanovna. The land plot on which the house is built is also registered in her name. The value of this property, which is actually used by the family, is not indicated in Serhiy Shinderuk's declaration.
In addition, in 2024, Detective BEB purchased a 2012 FORD MONDEO for UAH 157,000. According to analysts, the market value of such a car could be about UAH 350,000, which is twice the declared purchase price.
Last year, Serhiy Shynderuk declared UAH 769,000 in wages to the BEB, a little over UAH 7,000 in compensation for part of the interest rate on a loan under the e-Housing program, and UAH 2.1 million in cash gifts from relatives. His wife received only social benefits for childcare — UAH 10,320 per year, she had no other income.
The declaration also states that the detective keeps over 9 thousand US dollars in cash and has almost 15 thousand UAH in bank accounts. The total amount of declared savings is about 400 thousand UAH. The savings of his wife are not reflected in the document.
