Head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry: a "new situation" may arise between Ukraine and Russia in 2025

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan suggested the possibility of a "new situation" in relations between Ukraine and Russia in 2025.

“The fatigue of both sides could lead to a new situation in 2025. Let's see how the situation develops,” Minister Hakan Fidan said in an interview with the Hürriyet newspaper.

He also emphasized that Kyiv and Moscow continue to "search for a connection." But neither side "wants to look like a loser" in the negotiation process.

Fidan emphasized that "a just resolution of the war must be within the framework of the territorial integrity of Ukraine.".

Erdogan previously stated that Putin wants to end the war in Ukraine.
