In Ukraine, the head of the village council was detained, who for a bribe of 50,000 hryvnias promised a local businessman not to pay attention to his debt for land lease. The perpetrator was arrested while receiving the money, and now he will stand trial for corruption.
As the law enforcement officers established, in 2004, the entrepreneur received ownership of a complex of buildings for the production of food products. However, he did not issue the right to use the land plot on which the enterprise is located. And he did not pay the rent to the budget.
The head of the village council decided to take advantage of the situation, assuring the businessman that thanks to his official position, he could solve the debt issue without going to court. And in the future, it will also help in concluding a land lease agreement.
The official estimated his services at 50,000. UAH In case of refusal, he threatened to file an appropriate lawsuit with the court, the decision of which will forcibly collect money from the debtor, and the company will be seized.
The figure was detained and reported as suspicious. He faces up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
