Oleg Druz, the chief psychiatrist of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine , who was detained for the second time for bribery, unexpectedly ended up in the hospital. This fact has caused outrage among the military and the public, who see it as an attempt to avoid responsibility.
Well-known public figure Oleksiy Byk criticized the situation on his Facebook page. He believes that Druz is trying to evade punishment, using his stay in a medical facility as an excuse.
According to the serviceman, after the detention, the official suddenly "fell ill" and was admitted to the hospital with a diagnosis of "ischemic stroke".
"Everyone was so outraged by the repeated detention of the chief psychiatrist of the Ministry of Defense for bribes... exactly one day. And then everyone got bored. Meanwhile, the bribe-taker safely went to the hospital with an "ischemic stroke" in hindsight. And more of you. The show must go on. The sheep are babbling enthusiastically. You don't need to think," Oleksiy Byk wrote on his social networks.
Oleksiy Byk believes that such a development shows the ineffectiveness of the fight against corruption and the indifference of society.
"When criminals just laugh at us and find ways to avoid responsibility.
The SBU is now preparing suspicions against Druze. However, the public and the military call on not to allow corrupt officials to avoid responsibility and to demand a fair investigation of the high-profile case.
It will be recalled that, according to the Security Service of Ukraine, Oleg Druz, holding a managerial position during the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, accumulated unsubstantiated assets in the amount of more than 1 million US dollars. In July, he was already detained on suspicion of bribery, but he continued to work in his position.
