People's deputy from "European Solidarity" Oleksiy Goncharenko sharply criticized the pro-government faction "Servant of the People" for refusing to vote on draft law No. 11379-d, which prohibits the mobilization of persons under the age of 25. He announced this in his Telegram channel.
Goncharenko stated that the "Servant of the People" faction blocked the possibility of considering this important draft law, despite the fact that it was supported by the Committee on National Security and Defense.
"I fought for this bill, pushed for the Committee to support it, but now it is being blocked again. I have no words, because it's just a shame," the people's deputy emphasized.
The deputy also called on the public to take active action, urging them to write to all "Servants of the People" deputies on social networks with the demand to bring the bill to a vote.
Vadym Ivchenko, a people's deputy from the "Batkivshchyna" faction, confirmed that the draft law was not included in the agenda of the Verkhovna Rada for this week. He expressed the hope that the document can still be submitted for consideration in the coming days and is convinced that it will gain the necessary number of votes.
It is important to note that the conflict that arose as a result of the adoption of the new law on mobilization caused concern. Men under the age of 25 who have not completed military service or training at a military department, but have previously been found to be of limited fitness, may be subject to mobilization. This issue became the subject of a heated political debate and caused a wide public outcry.
