American F-16 multipurpose fighters and their pilots are preparing to participate in the war in Ukraine against Russian terrorists according to the developed plan. According to expectations, this year it will be possible to witness the first victories of the Air Force over the Russian invaders in the Ukrainian skies.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, stated this during a speech on the air of the National Telethon. He emphasized that the preparation is difficult because the technology of these fighters is highly developed.
"Pilots, engineers and infrastructure - everything is being prepared for this moment. All countries that promised to provide F-16s are keeping their commitments. It is not just replacing one type of technology with another. The concept of air combat management is changing. The process is ongoing, which takes time, but is going according to plan. I believe that this year we will see the first aerial victories of the F-16 in Ukraine," he noted.
Earlier in Davos, Kuleba indicated that Ukraine has decided to achieve the goal of expelling Russian terrorists from Ukrainian skies in 2024. However, effective weapons and modern Western aircraft are needed to achieve this goal.
Earlier, "Telegraf" informed about Ukraine's desire to receive not only F-16 fighter jets, but also short-range army aircraft.
Experts in the West believe that the era of Russian supremacy in the skies of Ukraine is coming to an end. And even a small number of modern F-16 fighter jets, which Ukraine will receive from Western partners, can already threaten the superiority of Russian terrorists in the air.
