American millionaire, philanthropist and son of legendary investor Warren Buffett, Howard Buffett was spotted at a McDonald's fast food restaurant in Rivne. He had a casual lunch with a Ukrainian MP. His foundation is financing the restoration of the Kharkiv printing house "Faktor-Druk".
Local media reported that Buffett had lunch with MP Dmytro Solomchuk. The MP did not report or comment on this meeting on his social media.
Howard Graham Buffett, 68, is the son of billionaire investor Warren Buffett. His foundation, The Howard G. Buffett Foundation, has already allocated more than $200 million to aid Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war.
It is noted that the reasons for his visit to Rivne are not yet known. However, Buffett often supports social initiatives and has already visited Ukraine before. The millionaire allocated funds for humanitarian aid and infrastructure restoration in cities affected by the war.
In particular, the Ministry of Economy reported that The Howard G. Buffett Foundation would finance the restoration of the Factor-Druk printing house, which was destroyed by a Russian missile on May 23. Minister Yulia Svyrydenko explained that there would not be enough funds from grant programs for the work, so Ukraine turned to its “good friend” Howard Buffett.
“And he generously volunteered to restore Factor-Druk at his own expense,” Svyridenko informed.
