As of the end of May, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine analyzed the situation in Kharkiv Oblast and Sumy Oblast and submitted its conclusions. According to their data, the Russian occupying forces continue the border operation in the Kharkiv region, but this cannot be considered an attempt to attack the regional center.
According to Yusov, it can be stated: "What the enemy planned, he did not achieve even close. Thanks, first of all, to the actions of the Ukrainian Security and Defense Forces."
In general, opposite Kharkiv Oblast and Sumy Oblast, the enemy concentrated groups of more than 50,000.
Regarding the hostilities in the Kharkiv region, the representative of the HUR noted that "Currently, we are seeing a border operation. What is happening is not an attack on Kharkiv."
Regarding threats to the Sumy region, Yusov emphasized the following.
"If there are grounds for concern, of course, it will be officially reported. The situation there is well known, as are the enemy's plans and resources."
