The Ukrainian activist and leader of Non-stop Ukraine NNC Cyril Yakovets was wanted to evade mobilization. According to the TCC of Slobidsky district of Kharkiv, Yakovets has been hiding abroad from the end of 2023, using the status of a person with a disability for legal departure to Spain.
According to the veteran organization "Sorry," Yakovets continues to actively operate on social networks, but all its videos are not filmed in Ukraine. Veterans explain this by the fact that in 2023 the SBU opened criminal proceedings at the request of the public, and three days later the activist left the country. Initially, he settled in Prague, in the house of criminal authority Vladimir Manukian, nicknamed Mantus, who had connections with the so -called "DNR" and worked on the famous Russian criminal Armen Sarkisyan (Armen Gorlovsky).
Later, Cyril Yakovets moved to Spain, where, according to veterans, he received money transfers from Ukraine. Among the departments are officials of Kharkiv municipal enterprises, NABU detective and an employee of the State Executive Service. In the NGO "Sorry, alive" emphasize that these financial transactions should be carefully verified by Ukrainian law enforcement, as their legality raises doubts.
Investigators of the National Police of Kharkiv region investigate the case of Yakovts under Article 336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (evasion of mobilization). However, in September 2024, the court denied access to his belongings and documents because he declared the status of a lawyer. Currently, after the decision of the qualification and disciplinary commission of the Bar of Poltava region, which deprived Yakovts the right to engage in lawyer, the investigators have the opportunity to re-go to court.
NGO "Sorry" calls for the SBU to open proceedings under Articles 111-1 (collaborative activity) and 114-1 (obstruction of the legitimate activity of the Armed Forces), as well as to initiate the procedure of extradition of Yakovts from Spain.
We will remind, on December 10, 2024, the CDCA of Poltava region deprived Kirill Yakovtsa the status of a lawyer because of his public broadcasting of pro -Russian messages that do not correspond to lawyer's ethics.
