The SAPO prosecutor has filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court to declare the assets of the head of the State Environmental Inspectorate of Donetsk Oblast unfounded and to confiscate them as state revenue. The total amount of property exceeds UAH 8 million.
Among the objects of the lawsuit are numerous luxury cars: "AUDI A8" (2008), "TOYOTA AVENSIS" (2013), "VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN" (2019 and 2024), "TOYOTA LAND CRUISER PRADO 150", "AUDI Q8" (2021) and "BMW X5" (2022). Some of the vehicles were registered to the official's wife and a close person, but they were actually used by the official himself and his family.
According to the NACP, some of the cars were purchased at undervalued prices, allegedly with money from the sale of previous cars. In addition, the declarant's close relative, in whose name the vehicles were registered, did not have a driver's license.
The national agency analyzed the income and expenses of the official and his family and concluded that there were no legal sources for the acquisition of such assets in 2021–2024.
If the claim is successful, the assets may be seized in favor of the state by decision of the Supreme Court of Justice in accordance with Article 290 of the Code of Civil Procedure.
