The State Bureau of Investigation is closely investigating crimes related to the Maidan events. According to the latest reports, as of February 19, more than 100 cases have already been brought to court, including those involving high-ranking officials.
This information was posted on the State Bureau of Investigation's Facebook page. According to the SBI, during the four years of the investigation into the "Maidan case," 239 suspects were exposed, and 117 indictments against 211 people were sent to court.
One of the most significant successes highlighted by the Bureau is the completion and submission to court of the most important case involving the former state leadership and heads of law enforcement agencies. This includes:
- ex-president of Ukraine;
- the former head of the SBU and his deputy;
- the former Minister of Internal Affairs and his deputy;
- former Minister of Defense;
- former commander of the internal troops;
- the former head of the capital's police, his deputy, and the head of the Berkut regiment.

The State Bureau of Investigation emphasizes that these former officials are accused of organizing the murders of 67 citizens and causing bodily harm to 887 people between February 18 and 20, 2014.
"However, the SBI employees will continue their work until all those guilty of crimes related to Euromaidan are punished. We would like to remind you that 60,000 law enforcement officers were involved in ensuring order during the events from November 2013 to February 2014," the SBI statement said.
Only at the beginning of this year, according to the State Bureau of Investigation, indictments have been sent to court against the direct killers of Maidan activists, and significant figures in the investigation have already been declared suspects.
It is worth noting that in about 60 cases related to the Revolution of Dignity, there is a risk of statutes of limitations expiring before the defendants are sentenced. However, this situation does not apply to the ex-president and other members of his team, as noted by Oleksiy Donsky, head of the Department for the Organization of Procedural Management of Pre-Trial Investigations in Cases Related to the Mass Protests of 2013-2014, in November 2024.
