On New Year's Eve, from December 31 to January 1, 300 people were taken to police stations in Ukraine for violating the curfew. Anatoliy Seredynskyi, Deputy Head of the Preventive Activities Department of the National Police, reports on this during the telethon.
According to Seredynsky, the number of reductions is low.
"Preventive conversations and checks were conducted with the violators for involvement in sabotage activities, but no such facts were discovered," he concluded.
There were also about 25 reports of fireworks being used. Police are currently documenting these offenses.
On New Year's Eve, the National Police received a total of 35 reports of various incidents, which, according to Seredynsky, is a low figure.
"Ukrainians approached the New Year celebration quite consciously. Most incidents concern the behavior of people under the influence of alcohol or domestic conflicts," he added.
The National Police continues to work in an enhanced mode on January 1, ensuring the safety of citizens and public order.
