IKEA stores can open in Ukraine as early as 2025. The official opening date will be announced later, but according to the operating director of the Lavina Mall and Blockbuster Mall Dmitry Lashin, the opening is planned for this year, and there is a "very encouraging information" about this.
Lashin noted that there are two scenarios to open IKEA stores in Ukraine: if the fighting stops, the opening can take place quickly. If the fighting continues, it will take more time, but according to him, the physical opening of stores is ready. Retailer is actively updating, including clining, repair, replacement of signboards and export of old goods.
IKEA, Swedish Transnational Corporation, known for its fast -collected furniture and other home products, was founded in 1943 by Ingvara Camprad. As of 2021, the company had more than 420 stores in 50 countries. After the start of the war in Ukraine, IKEA stopped working in Russia and Belarus and announced a donation of 20 million euros for humanitarian aid.
At the same time, fake Ikea was opened in Russia, where you can find goods that are likely to be manufactured at the CIS enterprises.
