In Kyiv, a building in Poznyaki was put up for sale, which was supposed to become part of the social infrastructure of the district.
This is a building on Poznyaki-2, which was originally intended for a children's center. The initial development plan for the district provided for the creation of a full-fledged socio-cultural space: a sports complex, a children's creative home, a music school, and an art school.
However, these plans were never realized. The sports complex was sold for shops and private businesses, and the Novus supermarket appeared on the site of the art complex.
The area where the premises are now for sale was not intended for development at all. In 2018–2019, the local authorities transferred it for the construction of a children's center, convincing the residents of the district to support the project. At that time, the head of the culture department of the Darnytsia RDA took part in promoting the project.
Now the already completed building is being sold, which, according to local residents, finally deprives the district of another important social infrastructure facility. Residents express concern about the lack of children's and cultural spaces, emphasizing the need to preserve such facilities for the community.
