In the Bila Tserkva district of the Kyiv region, law enforcement officers detained a man who, according to investigators, robbed his own mother's house and later attacked a woman in a monastery, robbing her.
As reported by the press service of the Kyiv region police, a 38-year-old man in the village of Trushky broke into his mother's house through a window and stole jewelry and household appliances. After that, the attacker was on the territory of a convent in the city of Bila Tserkva, where he suddenly attacked a 70-year-old woman. According to law enforcement officers, he hit the victim on the body and head with his hands until the woman fell to the sidewalk, after which he grabbed her wallet with cash and ran away.
The police detained the suspect and informed him of suspicion of theft committed under martial law and robbery in accordance with Part 4 of Article 185 and Part 4 of Article 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The perpetrator faces up to 10 years in prison. He is currently in a pre-trial detention center.
