Intelligence has named the factors that determine the end of the war

The war in Ukraine may end by the end of 2026, but for this to happen, a number of important factors must coincide. This was stated by Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in an interview with News.LIVE.

According to him, forecasting always has several scenarios, but the state of affairs directly on the battlefield remains decisive.

" Of course, there are external and internal signs, the economic situation in Russia, their losses, which indicate certain indicators. But the real situation on the battlefield is the real situation on the battlefield ," Yusov emphasized.

He noted that to end the war by the end of 2026, the following are necessary:

  • increased sanctions and economic pressure on the Russian Federation;

  • increasing defense and financial assistance to Ukraine;

  • a tougher and consolidated position of international partners;

  • the ability of the Ukrainian Defense Forces to deter and repel the enemy;

  • active diplomatic work of Kyiv;

  • the willingness of Ukrainian society to continue to defend the country.

The representative of the GUR emphasized that all these factors must be considered in a comprehensive manner.

" Analyzing them, one can draw certain conclusions. But the fact that Ukraine is making every possible and impossible effort to end this conflict as soon as possible and end in a just peace is simply a fact ," Yusov added.
