Investigative journalist Volodymyr Boyko drew attention to the possibility of connections between NABU head Semyon Krivonos and the participants in the Energoatom corruption case.
We are talking about criminal proceedings against the likes of Samotkal Eduard Viktorovych, Lysenko Dmytro Vasyliovych, Kim Vissarion Volodymyrovych in the commission of criminal offenses provided for in part. 3 Art. 27, part 5 of Art. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. It is about misappropriation and embezzlement of property by abuse of official position. We will remind that Kim is the former chairman of JSC Energoatom, and Samotkal is the owner of companies that supplied equipment to Energoatom at inflated prices. A special court proceeding is being conducted in relation to Samotkal. Samotkal escaped from justice. But his companies registered to his wife Ruslana are still working.
No one has been held accountable. NABU has no questions.
Boyko suggests that this is a consequence of Kryvonos' connection with Samotkal. The fact is that Samotkal's businesses are managed by Halyna Polsynska, the wife of NABU Chairman Semyon Kryvonos.
The journalist learned that the history of interaction between Samotkal and the Polshynsky family began back in the 90s, when Galina Polshynska's grandmother worked at the Kryvorizka Iron Ore Plant, which was controlled by a criminal group to which Samotkal belonged. And from that time, representatives of the Polsynski family, including Galina, began to appear in positions in various enterprises related to Samotkal.
That Halyna Polsynska is the wife of Semyon Kryvonos can be easily verified by looking at his declaration. She is the one who manages "Innovative Technological Products" LLC ("Intechpro"), which is currently owned by Ruslana Samotkal.
Polszynska is also listed as the head of the following structures of Samotkaly: DAAR company s.r.o. (Czech Republic) (from 19.09.2015 to 22.02.2017) and Business Perspective Alfa, s.r.o. (Czech Republic) (from 06.10.2015 to 21.02.2017) — as can be seen from this register.
Eduard Samotkal is under investigation, wanted since 2017. His wife Ruslana owns his campaigns, at least one of which is suspected of corruption. The head of these companies is the wife of Semen Kryvonos, the head of the most important anti-corruption structure. These are the facts. As a reminder, VAKS registered the case against Energoatom on May 25, 2020. Even then, Samotkal was held as an accused. Even then, Polsynska distinguished herself in her connections with his firms. And Semyon Kryvonos became the head of NABU on March 6, 2023. So, Kryvonos was appointed when the case against Samotkal had already started, and Polshanska was already managing Intechpro.
"But on March 6, 2023, the criminal authority Eduard Samotkal drew a truly lucky ticket: the husband and son-in-law of his confidants became the director of NABU. After that, the so-called anti-corruption activists immediately stuck their tongues in their asses and are no longer interested in why NABU has not yet succeeded in deporting the embezzler of funds from the South Ukrainian NPP to Ukraine and has not even detained Samotkal's accomplices - the mother and daughter of Polsynski.
Well, as a thank you for this, Krivonos does not notice how "anti-corruption activists" rob the Armed Forces of Ukraine and ordered to close the criminal proceedings against the former head of the NAZK Novikov and the former deputy head of the NAZK Sytnyk, who arranged a fictitious military service for soldier Shabunin, "Boiko writes .
That is, the appointment of Kryvonos took place due to a clear conflict of interest. Why his wife's connections with the suspect Samotkal's business were ignored is a separate question. Be that as it may, in this light it becomes obvious that Kryvonos was appointed head of NABU illegally. What to do with it? At the very least, dismiss him from his position. This would prove the real readiness of the state system for self-cleansing.
