The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine agreed by a bill, which provides for a significant improvement in the social protection of conscripts, their families, as well as several other categories of military. This was reported by a government representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk in his Telegram.
The bill covers the following categories of military: military personnel of basic military service (new category), constituents who remain in the service in cases of captivity, treatment, have disappeared, as well as those who are in disciplinary parts or cars. In addition, members of the families of these military and families of dead or dead servicemen come under the defense.
The bill provides a basic package of social guarantees, including the right to leave, retirement, assistance in case of unemployment, as well as state insurance. Particular attention is paid to the military released from captivity - they will be given leave even outside the martial law.
In addition, the law introduces a 6-day working week with one weekend for cadets of higher military educational institutions, students of military training units and students of professional higher military education.
In Ukraine, there were various benefits for mobilized, contract servicemen and their families. In particular, it is a medical examination and treatment, payment of utilities, preferential travel and other social guarantees. The contractors provide additional payments that will now be supplemented with new social guarantees.
