The Cabinet of Ministers has increased electricity tariffs for the population

From June 1, 2024, a new electricity tariff for the population will come into force in Ukraine. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to establish a single price for electricity without differentiation based on the level of consumption.

The new price will be UAH 4.32 per kWh.

Now the price is UAH 2.64/kWh. That is, the increase will be 1.6 times immediately.

Moreover, there will be no differentiation of the tariff depending on the volume of consumption from 100 kWh, as previously reported by the mass media.

Thus, the increase will affect the entire population of Ukraine.

During the heating period (from October 1, 2024 to April 30, 2025), a preferential tariff is provided for consumers who use electric heating installations at the level of UAH 2.64/kWh (if they consume up to 2,000 kWh of electricity per month during this period ), said the Ministry of Energy

At the same time, the "night tariff" (with the corresponding two-zone meter installed) will be UAH 2.16 per kWh.

"Those who cannot afford to pay for electricity supply services under the new tariff will receive help from the state - targeted subsidies," the Minister of Energy emphasized.

With an average monthly electricity consumption of 170 kWh, the payment for electricity will increase by UAH 285.
