The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to dismiss Yuriy Dzhigyr from the position of Deputy Minister of Defense. Taras Melnychuk, the representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada, announced this in his Telegram channel.
Yuriy Dzhigyr, who is a financier by specialization, started his professional career at the Ministry of Finance in 2015. During 2016-2018, he worked as a freelance adviser to the acting Minister of Health of Ukraine, where he was engaged in reforming the financing of the medical sector in the country.
In addition, Dzhigir participated in numerous research projects of the World Bank, the World Health Organization, and the Bergen Center for Ethics and Prioritization in Health Care.
Yuri Dzhigyr was appointed to the post of Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine on September 27, 2023. Now, after his release, his future plans and activities remain unknown.
