Police of the Chernihiv region are investigating the possible waste of budget funds during the repair of a military hostel in Chernihiv. The person involved in the case is Alexander Zubrytsky - Head of the Northern Directorate of the Customer of the Ministry of Defense.
About it reports the newspaper 368.Media with reference to the materials of criminal proceedings №12025270000000305, opened under Part 4 of Art. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - appropriation, waste or seizure of property by abuse of office in particularly large amounts.
The investigation found that on April 10, 2024, Zubrytsky concluded a contract No. 02/151 for the amount of UAH 34.8 million with a contractor for the construction of a hostel in the military town # 1 in Chernihiv. The purchase was carried out according to a simplified procedure, where only one participant was recognized as the winner - despite the fact that his proposal did not meet the requirements of the tender documentation.
In particular, the company did not have the necessary material and technical base and appropriate staff. Despite this, about UAH 20 million has already been transferred.
Law enforcement officers check the possible abuse of budgetary funds. At the same time, other episodes of management with dubious contractors are investigated.
