On the way to full membership in the European Union, Ukraine should undergo a number of important reforms, which will become a prerequisite for the start of negotiations. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, a participant in the National Telethon, disclosed the details of this process, emphasizing Kyiv's expectation of a negotiating framework, that is, a list of requirements that must be met for entry.
According to him, this list will cover 35 chapters, which will be grouped into six thematic blocks. "We are already at the finish line after the decision of the European Council to start negotiations... That is, it is a clear line where you are given a task of 35 chapters to bring the national legislation in line with the European one," he explained.
The speaker noted that the requirements of the European Union are already generally known, they will concern legal, market and tax issues. He emphasized that Ukraine has already successfully implemented many of these requirements, and others can be implemented over time.
