Arms manufacturer KNDS, a joint venture between the German company Krauss-Maffei Wegmann and the French Nexter Defense Systems, announced the creation of its subsidiary in Ukraine.
KNDS representatives announced plans to build a plant in Ukraine at an event held in France in the presence of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
The KNDS subsidiary in Ukraine will specialize in the production of military equipment and ammunition.
In March of this year, the defense ministers of France and Germany, Sebastian Lecornu and Boris Pistorius, announced their intention to create a similar enterprise in Ukraine.
It is noted that representatives of KNDS, together with the Ukrainian company ENMEK, signed agreements on the creation of a service center for CAESAR self-propelled artillery installations and an enterprise that will carry out 3D printing of spare parts.
In addition, a contract was concluded regarding the transfer of licensed production of 155-mm artillery shells to Ukraine.
