In an interview with Albert Tsukrenko, musician, military serviceman and founder of "Cultural Airborne" Mykolai Serga talked about an attempt to attract popular singer Svitlana Loboda to perform in front of Ukrainian soldiers. Serga noted that this idea did not live up to expectations and was not implemented due to Loboda's non-compliance with the requirements.
Serga noted that the proposal to involve Loboda and Potap in the performances was put forward, but he was against it. The musician proposed an alternative approach, which he called "purgatory". Serga explained that the idea was to test the sincerity of the artists in the context of their reaction at the front, where there is no room for falsehood.
"I started raising this topic when I was on the show "2023". He said that you can bring Loboda and see how she will react at the front. This should show if she is really sincere or not. At the front, everything manifests itself very quickly," Serga explained.
Mykolai Serga also gave an example that supports his point of view: "In Kharkiv, Loboda addressed a girl into the microphone during a speech, simulating a conversation in her ear. Her behavior was harsh and incorrect, which showed a lack of sincerity. It confirmed our fears.”
According to Serga, the project was not intended to humiliate Loboda, but to demonstrate the possibility of correction and real loyalty. The musician noted that the goal was to show that the path to correction is possible and that even people from the "gray" environment can change. If Loboda met with a negative reaction, he would act as a mediator to help find common ground.
Serga emphasized that the idea of "purgatory" was idealistic and may have turned out to be unsuitable in this format, but the project itself remained relevant to illustrate the possibility of positive changes.
