After the capture of Vugledar in Donetsk region, the Russian invaders will probably try to take the city of Kurakhove. Junior sergeant, commander of the 24th separate assault brigade "Aidar" Stanislav Bunyatov with the call sign Osman reported this in an interview.
According to the military, it will be difficult for the occupiers to storm Kurakhov "head on", as the city is protected by one of the most powerful units of attack UAVs. Therefore, before the direct attack on Kurakhov, the Russians will try to capture several surrounding villages, which will allow them to create favorable conditions for further actions.
"After analyzing the area, I came to the conclusion that first of all the occupiers will try to capture Maksimilianivka. After that, they will try with all their might to reach the village of Dalnye," said Osman.
He also added that if the village of Dalnye is captured, it will be convenient for the Russians to put pressure on Kurakhovo's flank and develop an offensive in the direction of Bogoyavlenka. This will endanger the encirclement of a number of villages, forcing the Armed Forces of Ukraine to leave the "pocket".
We will remind, on October 1, information appeared that the Russian army occupied Vugledar in the Donetsk region. According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), as of October 1, the occupiers had established control over the settlement, probably after the retreat of Ukrainian forces. The Ukrainian military made a planned withdrawal from Vugledar in order to avoid encirclement.
On October 2, the higher command confirmed that it had given permission for the withdrawal of units of Ukrainian defenders from Vugledar in order to preserve personnel and equipment, to take advantageous positions for further actions.
