Nizhyn's corruption officer is not poorer: land, apartment in Kiev, cars and shadow rent

Head of the Nizhyn City Council Economy Department Gennady Taranenko, previously convicted of corruption during service in the State Tax Service, declared considerable volumes of real estate, including land and residential real estate. About it reports 368.Media, referring to the declaration of an official for 2024.

According to the document, Gennady Taranenko owns two land plots in the village of Vertiyivka, Nizhyn district, each has an area of 20 thousand square meters. The sites were acquired in 2021. His wife Tatiana has another large area in Vertiyivka and three plots in Nizhyn (1000, 1000 and 840 square meters). The total area of land to which the Taranenko family has access is more than 62.6 thousand square meters. m - or more than 6 hectares, which is an extremely large indicator for the family of a civil servant.

Real estate is added to this. The wife of the official owns two residential buildings in Nizhyn (43.2 and 98.2 square meters), as well as an apartment in Kiev with an area of 40.7 square meters. m, which she purchased in 2018 for UAH 753 thousand. It is the most expensive object in the declaration. In addition, Tatiana Taranenko rents three commercial premises in the market in Nizhyn, probably for business activities, and the official himself rents a room of 28 square meters. m in a professional agrarian lyceum.

The unfinished construction column shows a garage in Nizhyn with an area of 50 square meters. m, which has not yet been put into operation. Construction is funded by family.

The transport of the family consists of several pieces of equipment: owned by Taranenko Opel Astra (2006), trailer PV-01B, and Nissan X-Trail (2012), which he uses as the husband of the owner-the wife. But in turn he owns an old truck SAZ-3507 (1990).

Last year, Taranenko earned UAH 513.6 thousand in office in the City Council and another UAH 7.4 thousand from leasing property. His wife declared 144 thousand UAH of salary from a law firm, 100 thousand UAH from the sale of agricultural products and the same amount - from leasing property.

Interesting detail: at the end of 2024, Taranenko's wife received a loan of 163 thousand UAH from a citizen of Victoria Oliynyk. The declaration lacks information on debt repayment or interest - according to the official himself, the family member did not provide the relevant information.

Despite the criminal criminal record and relatively modest official income, Gennady Taranenko's family continues to own volumetric assets, in particular real estate in the capital and tens of thousands of square meters of land in the region. There are no references to the sources of funds for the purchase of property.
