As reported in the Slidstvo.info investigation, Pavlo Tkachuk, head of the National Academy of Ground Forces, arranged for himself several apartments for free, and now lives in a luxurious estate near Lviv.
The investigation says that while tens of thousands of soldiers have been waiting in line for housing for years, General Tkachuk got his first apartment for himself and his family back in the 90s. These are four-room apartments in the town of Izyaslav in the Khmelnytskyi region, which he transferred to his daughter. She later sold them.
Then Tkachuk moved to serve in Ternopil, where, according to documents, he had a three-room apartment, but it turned out to be a whole cottage with a separate entrance and underground parking.
The 180-square-meter apartment that he received from the state was also donated by General Tkachuk. This time, she also sold the house to her wife.
The general also got an apartment in Lviv when he headed the National Academy of the Ground Forces of Ukraine. The son of the general, to whom the real estate was reissued, lives abroad and works at the Ukrainian embassy in Germany.
In addition, the general's son-in-law received another three-room apartment from the state in Lviv.
The daughter of General Olena Sapiga, who works as a dentist in a military clinic, also owns an estate near Ternopil according to documents. But, according to the publication, the general's relatives live in an elite new building in Lviv.
The general's son-in-law refuses to talk about the origin of the fortune.
The general himself settled in the suburbs of Lviv in an elite area. The estate is officially registered to an outsider.
Tkachuk himself refused to comment on the information about his apartments, saying that it is confidential.
