Residents of the capital should come to terms with a possible decrease in the quality of communal services during the war, believes Oleg Kostyushko, a member of the Kyiv City Council from the "Udar" faction. In his statement, he cynically advised the citizens of Kyiv to lower their demands to the level of comfort and to stop evaluating the quality of service provision, for example, "by measuring water temperature or pressure."
According to Kostyushko, despite the difficult conditions of the war, 99% of the heat supply pipes in the capital have passed the necessary tests, and the system is working normally. He urged Kyiv residents to compare the cost and quality of communal services with other European countries, in particular Poland, Romania and the Czech Republic, where, according to him, prices for similar services are much higher.
"The majority of Kyiv residents, or a certain number, have already visited abroad and know how much rent costs in other European countries. Comparing prices and quality, it is a sin for Kyivans to complain," said the deputy.
Kosciuszko emphasized that the capital authorities do not expect a significant deterioration in the quality of communal services during the war. He noted that all necessary measures to prepare for the heating season have been completed, and the system is working stably.
