LGBT march to be held in Kyiv on June 16

After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the “Equality March” or LGBT March will be held in Kyiv on June 16. This was announced by Anna Sharygina, the head of KyivPride.

The LGBT march will be held in Kyiv, but not in the metro, the head of KyivPride said.

According to Anna Sharygina, after a two-year break, the "March of Equality" will be held in Kyiv on June 16. Representatives from abroad will also take part in the event.

"As for security, the entire route has been discussed with the police, the plan of the event has been discussed. We are taking certain security measures as organizers, in particular, the march will be closed, only with prior registration.".

"This is also one of the security measures. The march will take place on the streets of Kyiv, but it will be close to shelters, as the instructions recommend, and we will follow them," Sharygina said.
