The Security Service of Ukraine exposed the agent of Russian military intelligence in the ranks of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the SBU press service on July 30.
The detainee-Major, instructor pilot one of the aviation brigades who performs combat missions to protect the Ukrainian sky, in particular for the destruction of hostile missiles and drones, as well as to support the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces from the air.
According to the investigation, the military performed the tasks of the Russian game, transmitting information about the airfields of F-16, Miraage 2000 and Su-24. He collected the coordinates of planes, schedules of their departures and battle load data.
Also, according to the investigation, the agent compiled an analytical certificate with recommendations for Russian blows - with proposals to bypass the Ukrainian air defense and to hit the air forces. In addition, he conveyed the enemy's personal data of Ukrainian pilots, onboard aircraft numbers and features of tactics during combat departments.
Communication with the curator of Russian intelligence was made through encrypted e -mail channels and closed chats in messengers.
The detention took place during the next attempt to collect new information. Currently, the person is being prepared about suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - State betrayal in the conditions of martial law. The sanction provides for life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
