Lviv Guardsmen Found a Soldier with 30 Packages of Drugs for Bookmarks

In Lviv, the National Guard detained a 22-year-old soldier who was in an unauthorized abandonment of the unit and had narcotics with him.

As reported by the Western Territorial Department of the NSU, the incident occurred on September 7 while patrolling a park area near Zamkova Street. During the inspection of a suspicious man who was trying to escape, he was promptly detained.

The detained person was citizen O., born in 2003. During the search, 30 zip-lock bags with substances similar to narcotics were found in his possession. The serviceman admitted that he had been placing bookmarks and had already managed to make about 35 hiding places.

An investigative and operational group was called to the scene. The serviceman was placed in a temporary detention center, and the seized packages were sent for expert examination. A pre-trial investigation is underway to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
