Mass poisoning in Vinnytsia region: fast food worker threatens up to three years

In the city of Kalynivka in Vinnytsia region there were mass food poisoning, through which 29 people, including 10 children, were contacted for hospitals. All of them, according to preliminary police, consumed food from the same local fast food. According to the media, it is about the sale of shawarma.

The incident has already gained criminal status: a 31-year-old fast food worker has been announced suspicion under Article 325 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine-violation of sanitary rules and regulations that caused mass poisoning.

A pre -trial investigation is currently underway. Experts investigate the conditions of preparation and storage of food in the mentioned institution. The probable cause of poisoning is the failure to comply with elementary sanitary standards, which could lead to food infection.

As of July 2, according to militiamen, the number of victims continues to increase. Among the poisoned - both adults and children of all ages. Doctors provide the necessary assistance, and the institution probably temporarily stopped work.

The sanction of the article provides several penalties - from a fine (up to UAH 51,000) to three years of restriction or imprisonment. The final decision on the punishment will be made by the court.

At the same time, police urge citizens to be careful when choosing catering places and not to ignore the signs of poor quality food. During the summer heat, such cases can occur more often - especially in street trade without proper control.
