Mass return of Ukrainians: increased passenger flow at the border with Poland

The end of the year was marked by a significant increase in the number of citizens returning to their homeland. According to the State Border Service, on December 23, 69,000 people entered the country, while 58,000 Ukrainians left at that time. This is an effective and significant increase in passenger traffic, and it also confirms the tendency for more people to return to Ukraine, depending on those who leave.

This was reported by the State Border Service. They noted that, in general, passenger traffic at the state border remains quite intense. The reason for this movement is not specified, but it is possible that it is connected with the arrival of Ukrainians living abroad for Christmas and New Year. And therefore, probably, after the holidays, the numbers will be opposite.

"Over the past day, border guards recorded 127,000 crossings of the state border. The number of citizens who arrived in Ukraine (69 thousand) exceeds the number of citizens who left the country (58 thousand). The greatest load is observed at the checkpoints on the border with Poland, although the increase in passenger traffic is recorded in all directions," the message says.
