A large-scale missile attack aimed at Ukraine, in particular, at the city of Kyiv, became the largest during the conflict. The main purpose of this attack is to test air defense systems in the capital, as well as to attack such objects as strategic military targets, administrative buildings of the security forces, workshops for the production of equipment and components for weapons, weapons warehouses and infrastructure facilities.
The attack resulted in the destruction of a significant number of objects, and fragments of rockets were scattered throughout residential areas, causing serious destruction and loss of life. At the same time, an attack on an ammunition warehouse took place in the Kharkiv region, which was accompanied by loud explosions that created the impression of a large-scale salute. In Lviv, a workshop that manufactured and stored military equipment was also damaged. In Mykolaiv, industrial and infrastructure facilities were fired upon.
Our sources note that over time, the Russian armed forces may make a breakthrough in the air defenses of Kyiv, where the majority of air defense systems are concentrated, while the rest of Ukraine will remain less protected. This may lead to the need to purchase ammunition with money rather than international aid, which in turn will limit the ability to purchase other military technology.
