In the Nikolaev area, a critical fire situation was recorded: in only one day rescuers eliminated 57 fires. This was reported by the SES press service.
The most cases occurred in open areas - 39 fires, 12 more were recorded in the private sector, two at infrastructure and transport facilities. The total area of the fire exceeded 53 hectares.
One of the fires arose because of a hostile shelling - dry vegetation on an area of 5000 square meters was lit in the Nikolaev area. The fire covered a large territory in the communities of Mykolaiv, Bashtansky, Voznesensky and Pervomaisky districts, including settlements of Nova Odesa, Snigurivka, Bashtanka, Pervomaisk and Mykolaiv.
The greatest alarm was caused by the fire within the regional landscape park "Tiligulsky", where shrubs and grass were engaged in an area of 9 hectares. Rescuers from 8 units, local fire department "Kobleve" and farmers with equipment joined the fight against fire. Through joint efforts, 3 hectares of wheat field have been rescued.
Private households and private homeowners did not miss. In the village of Limanka, the fire that covered dry vegetation turned over to three abandoned dwellings and three outbuildings. The total area of the lesion is more than 5 thousand square meters. A few more fires in the private sector occurred in the communities of Veselinovskaya, Novobuzhskaya and Berezneguvatskaya TG.
Some cases also affected residential buildings. One of them - 25 square meters - burned down as a result of shelling in the Nikolaev area.
The SES warns: burning grass and debris, especially during heat and wind, is extremely dangerous. Not only rescuers, but also communities, farmers, volunteers are fighting the fire - but the scale of threats increases.
