Enemy massive night attack on Ukraine

On the night of May 26, Russia struck Ukraine, launching a massive attack with Tu-95MS bombers that fired cruise missiles. In addition, there were attacks by Shahed and Dagger at night. The rockets were aimed at Lviv Oblast, as well as the city of Starokostyantynov in Khmelnytskyi Oblast, where destruction was recorded.

During the morning hours, Russia used the MiG-31K to launch a Dagger aeroballistic missile.

In connection with the approach of missiles to the borders, Poland sent its F-16 fighters into the air.

The main objects of Russia's attacks on the rear regions of Ukraine are energy systems. Moscow directs efforts to destroy energy networks, in particular thermal and hydroelectric plants. Ukraine is facing major power supply problems, prompting the introduction of blackout schedules for several weeks across the country.

Throughout the night, "Shahedy" attacked and scouted air defense systems in the central and western regions of Ukraine. According to the Air Force, drones struck Starokostyantynov in Khmelnytskyi, where the strategic air base is located. The anti-aircraft defense system was operating there, and explosions could be heard.

Around 3:30 in the morning, the first cruise missiles entered the territory of Ukraine in the Chernihiv region and flew westward through Kyiv region and Zhytomyr region. The Air Force warned about a possible strike near Zhytomyr and about the passage of missiles in the direction of Starokostyantynov.

This city is home to a Ukrainian aviation base, from where, according to the Air Force, attacks with the help of Western aviation missiles are carried out on Russian military facilities in the occupied territories.

Some of the missiles reached Lviv Oblast and were headed towards Lviv, the head of the region, Maksym Kozytskyi, said. Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy clarified that two missiles were recorded in the Lviv region, but they later disappeared from the radar.

The Air Force also reported on the movement of missiles in the direction of Ivano-Frankivsk. In this region, Russian troops previously attacked the Burshtyn thermal power station, which had already been destroyed.

Later, the Air Force reported that the missiles had changed course and hit Starokostyantinov. According to the military, an aeroballistic missile "Kinzhal" was launched over this city. However, according to the military, "Kinzhal" flew near Starokonstantynov and headed towards Ivano-Frankivsk.

Around 4:30 in the morning, the head of Vinnytsia Serhii Borzov announced that a residential building in the region had been shelled, there were wounded, and an evacuation was underway.

The end of the air alert was announced at 5:20 am. The last such attack by Russia on Ukraine was on May 8. Also, as earlier this spring, Russian forces are attacking energy networks.

In particular, Russia is systematically shelling the frontline cities, including Kharkiv and Kherson, trying to systematically destroy them.

Between massive strikes on Ukraine, Russian forces are actively targeting the destruction of front-line cities.

Kharkiv will be particularly affected in recent weeks, becoming the target of missile, drone and air attacks.

In the latest attack on Kharkiv, Russian forces destroyed the Vivat publishing house, killing seven workers.

On May 25, Russian forces targeted the construction supermarket "Epicentr", where at least 11 people were killed and dozens were injured.
