Journalists from "Slidstva.Info" found out that Oksana Marchenko, the wife of traitorous People's Deputy Viktor Medvedchuk, left Ukraine in February 2022, accompanied by a security guard who received a salary from the Security Service of Ukraine.
According to journalists, one of the guards is named Valeriy Tuz. He never officially worked for Medvedchuk's security services, but from the fourth quarter of 2022 to the second quarter of 2024 he received a salary from the SBU. The unnamed source claims that Tuz was a "double agent" and helped detain Medvedchuk on February 27, 2022.
Journalists identified another guard as Vitaliy D., who refused to comment on his participation in Marchenko's escort due to legislative restrictions on state secrets.
The SBU declared Oksana Marchenko a suspect in February 2023 for financing Russian security forces, which began in 2014. Later, in April 2023, she was put on the wanted list. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Marchenko disappeared on March 24, 2023 and was hiding in Belarus and Russia, and was later spotted in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The investigation established that Medvedchuk's wife's companies financed the Russian Guard and the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, for which she is charged with Article 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (financing aggression). The SBU does not comment on whether the agency had information about Marchenko's plans to leave Ukraine with Tuz.
