Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov believes that law enforcement officers are responsible for the death of their former deputy Mykhailo Lysenko. These accusations were made on the day of the funeral of Lysenko, who died on October 7, according to preliminary data, as a result of a heart attack.
Filatov stated that Lysenko was "actually killed by the so-called law enforcement officers with their endless persecution, searches and harassment." The mayor emphasized that "dozens of criminal cases, hundreds of searches and numerous arrests" were opened against Lysenko, which, in his opinion, are part of an information campaign to discredit the employees and deputies of the city council.
In his statement, Filatov also accused "werewolves in epaulettes" of falsifying evidence, conducting investigative actions without court orders and falsifying examinations. He warned that the situation will continue, adding that after the destruction of Lysenko, there may be new criminal cases, in particular, regarding the purchase of ATVs for the army.
"They have already broken one person and will continue to abuse others," Filatov said, emphasizing the systematic pressure on the city council, which prevents it from purchasing drones or electronic warfare systems.
"I want to warn all citizens - this will continue in the future. I don't know the reasons. Perhaps this is an indication, preparation for the elections or part of the Russian script," he said.
The mayor also promised to provide openness and publicity, assuring that all ATVs purchased for the army have already been transferred to the front. "I'm not afraid of you," he said to those who may be involved in Lysenko's death.
