During the next plenary session of the Kyiv City Council, the mayor Vitaliy Klitschko announced his proposal to fill the vacant position of the Secretary of the Kyiv City Council. Zoya Yarosh, a deputy from the Voice faction, became the candidature that the mayor will propose for consideration of the session.
According to Klitschko, the decision was made after preliminary consultations with factions. He urged all political forces in the Kyiv Council to join the discussion and find a common decision.
“I consulted with faction leaders and propose Zoe's candidacy for the post of Secretary of the Kyiv City Council. I urge my colleagues to discuss her figure, and then - to bring to the vote, ”Klitschko said.
The position of Secretary of the Kyiv City Council remained vacant since February 2025, when her previous head Vladimir Bondarenko voluntarily resigned. Since then, representatives of the majority in the Kyiv Council could not agree on a new purpose, which complicated the work of the city council.

Zoya Yarosh - lawyer, deputy of the Kyiv City Council, representative of the Voice faction. Prior to his election, she was also engaged in lawyer's practice, also known for an active public position on the transparency of the capital management.
It is expected that the corresponding submission with its candidacy will be submitted for consideration in the near future. The final decision will be made by the session hall of the Kyiv City Council.
