Irpen mayor is suspected of removing evaders and theft of humanitarian aid

Oleksandr Markushin, mayor of Irpen, returned to the duties after abolishing house arrest, but the accusation against him continues to gain momentum. According to the Telegram-channel "Piztor", the case refers to the organization of illegal departure abroad of evaders, including the godfather of Markushin-Sergey Rosstal, as well as the probable theft of humanitarian aid intended for the Armed Forces.

According to the director of the Native Village Charitable Foundation, Rosstal was issued as a driver of medical cargo, which allowed him to go to the EU without interruption. Already in the summer of 2024 he finally settled in the United States. In January 2025, the DBR opened criminal proceedings, but at the end of April the case was transferred to the police of the Kyiv region - and investigative actions actually stopped.

According to Mistoinform, Markushin signed permits for the departure of six men of conscript age, which they did not return. Among them was the rosstal - the main contractor in the reconstruction of Irpen, whose companies with the assistance of the mayor received more than UAH 700 million of budget and international funds.

In addition, NGL.Media journalists recorded a possible theft of volunteer cars. In March 2022, Markushin created a volunteer formation and sought for duty -free import of machines for the needs of TRO. Among the imported cars - Infiniti QX30, Infiniti QX50, Nissan Navara, Volkswagen Toure, Volkswagen Transporter. But none of them was registered in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and some were dismantled or probably sold.

Formally, humanitarian aid was to go to the Armed Forces, but the State Customs Service did not find any declared cargo during the march of Markushin and Rosstal abroad under the Way system.

While the mayor remains in office and the investigation is in a state of stagnation, the public requires answers. Although law enforcement agencies do not yet comment on the course of the investigation, new facts can bring the case to a higher level of political resonance.
