The former People's Deputy of Ukraine Valery Ishchenko was detained on suspicion of committing a terrorist act. According to journalists, he left an anti -tank mine at the entrance to the territorial center of acquisition (TCC) in the village of wide Kryvyi Rih district.
Information about the incident has published a political telegram "Political Break" with reference to its own sources. It is noted that at the end of March, law enforcement officers found a TM-62M near the building of the shopping center. It was neutralized and the person of the suspect was identified.
"The anti -tank mine measures used by the National Police were disposed of, and the identity of the blast, a deputy of the local council from Ishchenko's Euro Solomidarity, was established and detained. On this fact, a criminal case was opened under Part 3 of Article 15 and Part 1 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (terrorist act)," the statement reads.
Who is Valery Ishchenko
Valery Ishchenko is a Ukrainian politician, deputy VII and VIII convocations of the Verkhovna Rada. He began his career in the Kyiv City Council, and in 2012 he was elected People's Deputy from the UDAR party. In 2014 he went to Parliament from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc.
He has repeatedly found himself in the center of scandals. In 2019, NABU accused him of promoting the storage of Ukrzaliznychpostach funds worth more than UAH 20 million. In 2024, he and his assistant found themselves guilty of purchases for Ukrzaliznytsia at inflated prices. Then the court appointed them terms.
