The Russian invaders concentrated their attacks on the energy infrastructure of the frontline regions. The National Telethon received information from Deputy Minister of Energy Yaroslav Demchenkov that there were no mass shelling of Ukrainian energy facilities this winter season.
"In this heating season, obviously, we are observing the absence of mass attacks on energy infrastructure. The enemy concentrated mainly on the frontline areas," he emphasized. Demchenkov noted that in the frontline areas, the enemy is directing its efforts to destroy energy generation and distribution facilities, as well as hitting coal mines and the gas supply system.
The deputy minister also reported on conducting work on assessing the consequences of enemy attacks and economic losses, in particular, for energy companies. The Ministry of Energy has created a special working group to quickly meet the needs of companies in energy supply.
Demchenkov also emphasized the strengthening of readiness to eliminate the consequences of enemy attacks on energy facilities, pointing to the experience gained from the massive Russian strikes of the past heating season.
