The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine made a decision regarding the automatic extension of reservations for certain categories of citizens who are subject to mobilization. This decision was the result of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopting a resolution according to which the validity period of existing reservations will be automatically extended by one month, but no longer than until February 28, 2025.
Example: If an employee's reservation expired on December 20, 2024, it will be automatically extended to January 20, 2025. If the reservation was completed before December 19, that is, before the cyberattack, employers will be able to renew it after the resumption of the registers.
"In the period until December 27, for all conscripts who see their reservation in Reserve + and are subject to the Decree, we will extend the reservation automatically," said Kateryna Chernogorenko.
We will remind you that on December 19, Ukraine experienced one of the largest cyberattacks on state registers. An attack by Russian hackers stopped the operation of important systems of the Ministry of Justice. The hackers claimed to have destroyed all the data they had accessed, including backups in Poland. Restoring the registers should take two weeks.
First of all, the Ministry of Justice will restore the registers of powers of attorney, special forms, notarial documents and the inheritance register. This will minimize the negative consequences for accounting.
