Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, expressed confidence in the need for military support from Western countries and refused to consider alternatives in case of its suspension. In an interview with CNN, he stated that Ukraine hopes for the support of the US Congress and believes that this is not only charity, but an investment in the defense of NATO and the American people.
The minister emphasized the absence of an alternative plan and confidence in the successful implementation of plan "A". He noted that Ukraine will continue to fight with available resources and stressed that if Russia wins, it could set a precedent for other leaders, threatening security and costs for the United States.
Dmytro Kuleba dismissed the idea that Russia will not attack a NATO member country if it succeeds in Ukraine. He emphasized the importance of support from Western countries and emphasized that the cost of losses in case of refusal of aid would be much higher.
The matter of providing 61 billion dollars of support to Ukraine in the Congress is still "suspended", as the Republican majority insists on the connection of this aid with the strengthening of immigration control on the US-Mexico border. After visiting Washington last month, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy tried to convince Congress of the need for a new $61 billion aid package.
