The Ministry of Culture spent 24 million hryvnias on books for national unity, but they remained in warehouses

The Ministry of Culture of Ukraine spent more than 24 million hryvnias on the purchase of books designed to strengthen national unity. But he could not distribute them and they mostly lie in warehouses.

This is stated in the NGL media investigation.

At the same time, only two publishing houses received 17 million out of 24: "Summit-Knyga" and "Folio". And many well-known Ukrainian publishers have not even heard of the "Book for Strengthening National Unity".

Despite the claims of the State Audit Service regarding the distribution and content of the books, the Cabinet of Ministers intends to continue this program and is still accepting applications for a new competition. Under this program, in particular, the books "Racism is..." and "Genocide" were printed.
