The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced the launch of a new mobile application specially developed for military personnel. The spokesman of the department, Dmytro Lazutkin, in an interview with Radio NV, warned the military against installing the "Reserve+" application in order to avoid overloading the system, and emphasized that a separate application called "Army+" will soon be available for them. According to Lazutkin, the new application will contain the necessary options for servicemen, including document management, which is currently under development.
The Minister of Defense, Rustem Umyerov, said that the new application will be an answer to the constant complaints of fighters about excessive bureaucracy, in particular, about filling out paper documents and reports. He also indicated that a team of IT professionals, together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, is developing the app with the needs of the military personnel in mind, including conducting focus groups during development.
One of the key features of the new application will be the military ID, which will serve as a service member's electronic ID and key to digital weapons and situational awareness systems. An electronic report will also be available, which will greatly simplify the process of appeals to the commander and allow monitoring of their status in real time.
The application also provides for a feedback system that will enable servicemen to send requests, complaints and suggestions using the specified services. Umerov and Chernogorenko also announced that the Ministry of Defense will use surveys conducted through the application to make management decisions.
Already in February, the Minister of Defense Rustem Umyerov announced the development of the "Armiya+" mobile application, noting that it will take into account all the needs of servicemen and all processes will be digitized for the maximum convenience of users.
