The Ministry of Justice demands confiscation of a share of the Kryukiv Carriage Building Plant from a Russian businessman

The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine has filed a lawsuit with the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court to impose sanctions in the form of confiscation of assets to the state's income against Russian businessman Stanislav Gamzalov.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Justice. The subject of the lawsuit is 25% of the shares of PJSC "Kryukiv Carriage Building Plant", which are owned by Gamzalov. The enterprise is one of the largest manufacturers of railway rolling stock in Ukraine and is of strategic importance for the transport infrastructure of the state.

The Ministry of Justice notes that Stanislav Gamzalov is a citizen of the Russian Federation and the owner of a number of companies in the Russian Federation. According to the department, these companies provide the logistical needs of the Russian Federation in the context of armed aggression against Ukraine, in particular, they cooperate with enterprises of the military-industrial complex.

The official statement of the Ministry of Justice states that companies associated with Gamzalov supply goods to entities involved in the production of defense products. It is these circumstances that the Ukrainian side considers as grounds for applying the sanctions mechanism with subsequent confiscation of assets.

According to the YouControl system, the beneficiaries of PJSC "Kryukiv Carriage Building Plant" are Stanislav Gamzalov, as well as Volodymyr and Natalia Prikhodko. The presence in the ownership structure of the enterprise of a citizen of the Russian Federation, who has ties to the Russian military-industrial complex, attracts special attention from state authorities in conditions of a full-scale war.

The lawsuit is part of a broader state policy to identify and confiscate the assets of individuals who directly or indirectly support Russia's aggression against Ukraine. Previously, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court had already ruled to confiscate the property of Russian businessmen and oligarchs associated with the Russian defense industry.

If the lawsuit is upheld, the share of the Kryukiv Carriage Building Plant may become state property. Such a decision will have not only legal, but also strategic significance for the economic security and transport industry of Ukraine in times of war.
